Galia Nissim, M.A., M.S., RMHCI

I’m Galia, a therapist devoted to helping individuals and couples feel more grounded, connected, and present in their lives.

With over 20 years of experience in psychology and counseling, along with a personal foundation in mindfulness and mind-body practices, I bring a unique blend of clinical depth, research-informed insight, and embodied presence into every session.

My approach is shaped by attachment, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, somatic practices, and nervous system regulation. Together, these help us gently explore the patterns held in your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships.

I hold a B.A. and M.A. in Psychology, an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida.

My career began with a deep interest in how early relationships shape emotional, physical, and relational development. I spent years studying attachment, child development, and the impact of caregiving on children’s sense of safety, connection, and self-worth.

Later, my work with foster families deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the powerful role of consistent support. I saw how safety, trust, and attuned relationships can create pathways for healing, even after painful experiences.

Over time, I felt called to work more closely with women navigating transition, disconnection, inner pressure, and the desire to live with more clarity and self-trust. I began facilitating women’s circles, workshops, and spaces for reflection, emotional growth, body awareness, and reconnection.

Today, my work brings together attachment, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, somatic practices, and nervous system regulation to support healing that reaches beyond insight alone. I help clients understand the patterns they carry, listen to what the body and emotions are holding, and begin creating new ways of relating to themselves, others, and their lives.
My work is grounded in the belief that healing involves the whole person — thoughts, emotions, body, relationships, and the nervous system.

For many years, mindfulness and body-based practices have shaped the way I understood presence, resilience, and inner change. As a therapist, I bring this foundation into my clinical work by weaving together evidence-based therapy with attachment, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and somatic practices.

In sessions, we may explore the patterns you understand logically, the emotions that feel harder to shift, and the body responses that may still be carrying stress, protection, or past experience.

My role is to meet you with warmth, curiosity, and care —helping you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and create meaningful change that feels grounded in real life.

On a Personal Note

I’m a mom of three, and family life is one of my deepest joys. Whether we’re hiking, at the beach, or simply sharing moments at home, these connections ground me.
I find peace and balance through movement, yoga, long walks, time in nature, and quiet space to read, reflect, and grow. I believe how we care for ourselves shapes how we show up for others.
These rhythms help me stay connected to myself, to what matters, and to the presence I bring into my work.
